[संपादन] Marathi Typing.

Namaskar Maharashtra Express, No I cannot type Marathi on Wiki. I have more than 2300 devnaagari fonts on my desktop or in CDs. But except 2 or 3, the rest are ANSI or else but not Unicode. I have istalled Baraha 7; but for using it, the computer demands original CD of Windows XP. I do not have the CD. I am helpless. So what I do is to type on Notepad using one of the available Unicode fonts(e.g. Mangal), and cut/copy paste the text to Wiki. No other way I know. However, many thanks for your concern.---J

Like you at I also get stressed thinking I am alone editing but as abhay said any moment 7-8 Marathi People are browsing "Sadya Ghatana" so we are not that alone.I would love new people join in and write so much that I am not needed here and then I would enjoy to become just as a reader here.

• While I am aware some of us ie. yourself, Abhay, Priyali are putting in good efforts in translations from english to Marathi Wikipedia.With Peer Reviews actualy I want to start some form of discussion and such discussions may encourage others to write.

• Usual tendancy is one tends to write less about the things he knows. About writing normaly what may be happening is we write more about which we want to know more. So starting a peer review indirectly helps people contribute who know about given subject. May be I am not correct in my views .

Maharashtra Project and portal on english wikipedia seems to be not attended recently,Even on India Project attention seems to be less , may be people are more busy in attending to local language wikipedias, thats a good sign in a way.

Dear Maharashtra Express,

I found some good way of step by step writing help page at a private wiki called sarvagya Can_not_See_Hindi I want to customise it for help page for Marathi Wikipedia. Right now I have created a temp. page Wikipedia:धूळपाटी/Can not see Marathi.

I need your help in having customised Marathi images simmiller to Can_not_See_Hindi. I can not copy them from Sarvagya because of copy right issue.

Also suggest me if any part of Wikipedia:धूळपाटी/Can not see Marathi can rather be included in our main help विकिपीडिआ साहाय्य:Setup For Devanagari.

महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस, टेक्सास हे आता जरी अमेरिकेतील एक घटकराज्य असले तरीही 'en:Republic of Texas' या नावाचे एक राष्ट्र/ सार्वभौम राज्य इसवी सनाच्या एकोणिसाव्या शतकात होऊन गेले त्या प्रजासत्ताकासंदर्भात तो वर्ग तयार केला होता. त्यामुळे वर्ग बरोबर आहे; फक्त त्यात 'टेक्सासच्या प्रजासत्ताकचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष' या नावाऐवजी 'टेक्सासच्या प्रजासत्ताकाचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष' असे नाव हवे की नको याबद्दल चर्चा चालू आहे.

महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस, नुकतेच दोघा बेळगावकर चित्रकारांचे - के.बी. कुलकर्णी व जॉन फर्नांडिस - यांचे (अनुक्रमे ९ मार्च व ११ मार्च रोजी) निधन झाले. फर्नांडिस हे कुलकर्ण्यांचे शिष्य होते. बेळगावातील 'चित्र मंदिर' नावाच्या कुलकर्ण्यांच्या कलाशिक्षणासंस्थेत फर्नांडिसांनी चित्रकलाशिक्षण घेतले आहे. तुम्हाला यासंदर्भात बेळगावातील वृत्तपत्रे/ अन्य स्रोतांतून माहिती मिळवता येईल का? विशेषकरून या दोघांच्या चरित्रांबद्दल माहिती मिळाली तर ती आपल्या विकिपीडियावरील लेखांकरिता उपयोगी पडेल. दुसरी गोष्ट - या दोघांची कॉपीराइटमुक्त प्रकाशचित्रे मिळू शकतील का?

सांगण्यासारखी आणखीन एक गोष्ट म्हणजे बेळगावात सिद्धहस्त चित्रकरांची चांगली परंपरा आहे - के.बी. कुलकर्णी, त्यांच्या हाताखाली घडलेले रवी परांजपे, जॉन फर्नांडिस, मारुती पाटील इत्यादी. :)

Namaskaar, at the moment, my bot creates articles on Nepalese and Indian places. Also, it creates article stubs about years. I am trying to expand it to include American cities amongst others. It can do redirects for a number of articles. The main thing that is required for the bot is database of anything. Its not technical restriction but my inability to procure copyleft databases that has largely restricted the action of the bot at the moment. First of all, your question is not silly. Bots are very easy to learn and you can learn how to run a bot code in a day or two. I currently have database of all the cities of India including Maharashtra generated from the database of census of India (however its not completely transliterated) and I think that I can get information of the districts of Maharashtra as well. As you (and I) are having exams at the moment, I would not like to bother you with the bot currently. I will be finishing my exams by mid-April. If you can wait till then, please do. I think this span of time would be sufficinet for the suddhalekhana team to correct the Nepalese places database (you can work on the suddhalekhan if you want to once your exams are over). If you want to run a bot earlier than that or need more information earlier than that, please mail me at eukeshranjit at yahoo dot com and I will explain to you about it. Also, you can have a look at the following message from Usingha to me (of Bishnupriya Manipuri) which helped me a lot with bots-

[संपादन] बेळगाव - शुद्धलेखनदुरुस्त्या आणि नकाशा

महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस, मी 'मासिक सदर' आणि 'बेळगांव' लेखातील शुद्धलेखनदुरुस्त्या केल्या आहेत.. अर्थात 'बेळगाव' हा मूळ लेखक अजून नीट तपासावा लागेल असे वाटते; कारण अद्याप मी फक्त पहिला हात फिरवला आहे.
बाकी, त्या लेखातील तालुक्यांची नावे माझ्या माहितीप्रमाणे, उपलब्ध संदर्भांप्रमाणे दुरुस्त केली आहेत - उदा. सौंदत्ती तालुका आणि बैलहोंगल तालुका. ही नावे तुम्हीही एकदा खातरजमा करून बघावीत अशी विनंती करतो. लेखात या दुरुस्त्या झाल्या असल्या तरीही ती नावे नकाशात दुरुस्त करणे आवश्यक वाटते. सध्याचा नकाशा तुम्ही बनवला आहे, त्यामुळे त्याचा मूळ कोरा नकाशा घेऊन या दुरुस्त्या करण्याचे काम तुम्ही कराल काय?

त्वरित दखल घेतल्याबद्दल धन्यवाद! पण मला अजून एक विनंती करावी लागणार असे दिसत आहे - त्या नकाशात 'खानापुर' असे लिहिले गेले आहे. पण मूळ नाव 'खानापूर' असे आहे (मराठीत 'पूर' प्रत्ययाने संपणार्‍या सर्व गावांधी नावे दीर्घ 'पू' वापरून लिहिली जातात.). तेवढे दुरुस्त करता येईल का?

बाकी, याबद्दल व्याकरण/शुद्धलेखन नियमांचा थेट संबंध नाही. 'सौंदत्ती' हे गावाचे नाव ऐकून, वाचून माहिती होते. 'बैलहोंगल' नावाबद्दल मात्र "जय गूगल"~ :) 'बैल होंगळ', 'बैल होंगल', 'बैलहोंगळ', 'बैलहोंगल' असे सर्व पर्याय शोधून त्यातला चांगल्या संदर्भपानांवर/ त्यातल्या त्यात विश्वासार्ह संकेतस्थळांवर/ लेखांमध्ये आढळलेला पर्याय खरा असावा असे मानले आहे.

मागे एकदा बेळगावातल्या चित्रकारांबद्दल लिहिले होते तेव्हा तुम्ही बेळगावातील आहात असा माझा समज होता. पण तुमचे उत्तर वाचून कारण उमगले. बाकी, चित्रकला हा माझ्या आवडीचा विषय आहे. मी स्वतःदेखील चित्रे रंगवतो. कलाविषयक साहित्यदेखील माझ्याकडे उपलब्ध असल्याने या विषयावर त्यांचे संदर्भ वापरून लिहायचा प्रयत्न आहे.

[संपादन] गावाचे नाव असण्यार्‍या शब्दाची प्रत्ययापूर्वीची सामान्यरूपे.

मराठीत नाम, विशेषण वगरेंची प्रत्ययापूर्वी सामान्यरूपे होतात. कधीकधी क्रियापंदांनासुद्धा प्रत्यय लागतात आणि त्यापूर्वी त्यांचे सामान्य रूप होते. गावाचे नाव असलेल्या शब्दांसाठी फार विचित्र नियम आहेत. गाव जर परदेशी असेल तर सामान्यरूप करायचे नाही. उदाहरणार्थ: लंडन/लंडनला. वॉर्सा/वॉर्सापासून, इटली/इटलीत वगरे. देशी गावांपैकी ऐ-कारान्त, ओ-कारान्त, ऊ-कारान्त व ई-कारान्त नावांचे सामान्यरूप होत नाही. उदा. हर्णै/हर्णैला, वास्को/वास्कोहून, देहू/देहूकडे, सांगलीमध्ये इत्यादी. ए-कारान्त व आ-कारान्त नावातल्या 'आ-ए'चा 'या' होतो. पुणे/पुण्यात, सातारा/सातार्‍याला. अ-कारान्त नावांच्या बाबतीत खालील उदाहरणे पाहा. नासिक किंवा नाशिक/नासिकला-नाशिकला-नाशकाला. सुरत-सुरतला/सुरतेला(सुरताला होत नाही); अटक-अटकेपार(अटकला-अटाकाला होत नाही.) परंतु कटक- फक्त कटकला. नागपूर-नागपूरला/नागपुराला; नागपूरमध्ये/नागपुरामध्ये; सप्तमी चे त, ईं आं... करिता फक्त नागपुरात/नागपुरीं/नागपुरां.(नागपूरत, वगैरे होत नाही.)

In the sub-section अर्थव्यवस्था, for example, Nagapooraat was typed instead of Nagpuraat. Of course, the error is minor and you need not bother much about it. The article is excellent even with some minor शुद्धलेखन mistakes.--J-J १६:३८, २१ मे २००७ (UTC)

इथेच असते हो :) पण इतर काहीतरी सुरु होते. यावर्षी मराठी मंडळाची जबाबदारीही आहे त्यातच गेले काही महिने व्यग्र होते. काही पूर्वीचे लेख पूर्ण केले की मग नेमके काय करायचे ते ठरवेन. अगत्याने केलेल्या चौकशीबद्दल धन्यवाद. :)

महाराष्ट्र एक्सप्रेस, आपण बनवलेले नवीन लेख पाहिले - उदा. राजन भिसे. ते वर्गीकृत नव्हते. कृपया नवीन लेखांचे योग्य वर्गात वर्गीकरण करा. लेखांचे वर्गीकरण विकिकरणाइतकेच महत्त्वाचे आहे. एखाद्या लेखाकरता योग्य वर्ग सापडत नसेल तर ते '{{वर्ग}}' हा साचा वापरून 'अवर्गीकृत' विभागात टाकावे.
