A while ago in the taberna you were looking for someone to go through the delenda category and sort it, and I said that I was under the impression that only admins could delete. If this is not the case, how do I delete something. I would volunteer if I knew how. The other thing is, I noticed your babel box has a hard #FFFFFF line around it. How did you effect this? I would like to put a hard #FFFFFF line around the flags on Vicipaedia:Babel formulae so that flags with unbordered #000000 like Russia or Japan won't blend in with the page. On the taberna an idea came up for have a 'lingua latina' wikiproject. I, Roland2 and Ioshus Rocchio discussed this and think it is a good idea. We came up with the term Vicicollaboratio for Wikiproject. Ioshus Rocchio advised I check it with you before using it, do you think it is acceptable? Don't worry about the delay. I think Myces went through the delenda page. What's the procedure for electing/selecting admins? I'm interested in whatever I can do to help, but I don't know if I have been active long enough/have enough edits. Hello Tbook, I needed this "people by profession" in addition to "professions" (munera). My idea:

• Professions: poeta, musicus, ...
• People by profession: poetae (having Homerus, Camus, ...), musici, ...

I think these many professions in "homines" and these many populi/gentes in "homines" should be grouped in "people by profession" and "populi/gentes/..." (= people by nation). --Roland2 20:22, 14 Maii 2006 (UTC)

I think there should be two categories, but I am not sure ... maybe something like this:

- Biographia (at the moment "Homines")
     - Biographia (= the main article)
     - People by nation
     - People by religion
     - People by year of birth
     - People by profession (= Homines secundum officium?)
           - Poetae
                Poeta (= the main article)
                Horatius
                Catullus
           - Magistri
           - Musici
- Munera
     - Munus (= the main article)
     - Poeta (= the article)
     - Magister (= the article)

So category "poetae" would not be categorized in category "munera" because "peteae" keeps just people, but "poeta" would be categorized both in "munera" and "poetae" because it is a munerus and the main article of "poetae".

See this:

"People by nation" contains people, "Nations" contains nations

"People by birth" contains people, "Years of birth" contains years

"People by professions" contains people, "Munera" contains (just) munera

At the moment we have Categoria:Homines but Vicipaedia:Articuli quos omnes Vicipaediae habeant has Categoria:Biographia. Categoria:Biographia is used by some of the articles we are now having. So we have both categories at the moment. I think Vicipaedia:Articuli quos omnes Vicipaediae habeant is much clearer than our actual system, however, I do not know what others think about moving to Vicipaedia:Articuli quos omnes Vicipaediae habeant. --Roland2 21:28, 19 Maii 2006 (UTC)

This might confuse you after our discussion ... mabe just Categoria:Munera would be ok and we should put e. g. Categoria:Poetae into that category? What's the idea behind our categorization?

1. A category is a word in plural form, an article is a word in singular form?
2. An article should not be categorized in several levels but only in several branches? Levels: History, European History, German History. Branches: History, People, Geography, ...

What about creating a page Vicipaedia:Categoria and discussing the questions there? (Similar to Vicipaedia:Articulus.) "Filesystem" means that each category has just one parent category. We might not want this. ;-) Problems arise when a category can have more than one parent category. I think "Homines" should not be a toplevel category. It should be below "Society" (Societas hominum) ... I am not sure ... maybe "Munera" should be just under "Homines"? Maybe we should have extra "Shortcuts" like "*Homines" on the top level in "*Shortcuts"? - Singular titles, like William Shakespeare or Germany ... ok, we will not have "Germanies", although it would be much easier to build such titles in Latin ;-) I think these singular titles are another class of categories. Recently I found an interesting discussion about categorization in the German Wikipedia. They had very intersting ideas ... I think I'll start Vicipaedia:Categoria ... we have too many discussions just on user pages ;-) --Roland2 20:41, 21 Maii 2006 (UTC)
