Égyptologue
On appelle égyptologue toute personne spécialisée en égyptologie. Le terme « égyptophile[1] », pour caractériser un passionné d'égyptologie, n'existant pas, on retrouve ci-dessous des noms, de toutes époques et de tous pays, non seulement des spécialistes mais aussi d'historiens, d'archéologues, d'écrivains auteurs d'ouvrages (documentaires ou romancés) sur l'Égypte antique, de voyageurs (aventure ou périple) ou de diplomates.
